RFID Laundry Automation

RFID Laundry Solution

ID Tech presents a state-of-the-art RFID-based laundry management system, offering an efficient and dependable method for tracking garments throughout their entire journey in the laundry cycle, from intake to dispatch. This system features RFID washable laundry tags securely attached to each garment, along with both fixed and handheld RFID readers, ensuring thorough and precise tracking.

This real-time linen inventory management system employs RFID technology to provide a solution for managing textile assets such as bed linens, towels, robes, uniforms, and workwear. By integrating RFID laundry tags, RFID devices, and advanced software, users can efficiently identify, monitor, and manage large volumes of textiles.

This system combines RFID laundry/linen tags, RFID equipment, and specialized software to enable users to identify, track, and manage large quantities of textiles with ease. Upon entry into the laundry facility, the RFID tags on the clothes are instantly scanned. The application software then captures the unique tag IDs for each item, promptly updating the database with relevant information about each garment. This enables the generation of comprehensive reports at various stages of the laundry process, streamlining the entire workflow and enhancing operational efficiency. With our RFID laundry management system, you get a reliable and effective solution for streamlined laundry tracking and management.

How It Works

Group 295

1. RFID Tagging

Each laundry item is fitted with an RFID tag embedded with a unique identifier. These tags enable efficient tracking throughout the laundry process, ensuring accurate sorting, monitoring, and inventory management while reducing losses and improving overall operational efficiency in laundry management systems.

2. Database Mapping

The RFID desktop reader/writer encodes each tag with a unique identifier linked to detailed item records. This includes descriptions, ownership details, and washing requirements. The centralized database ensures accurate tracking, seamless retrieval of information, and streamlined operations for inventory and laundry process management.

3. Sorting on receipt

Upon arrival, laundry items pass through an RFID tunnel equipped with RFID readers, or they are scanned individually. This automated sorting process accurately identifies and categorizes items, reducing manual effort, minimizing errors, and improving the efficiency of laundry intake operations.

4. Washing and Drying

RFID tags indicate specific washing requirements for each item, allowing automated sorting into appropriate washing loads. This ensures the correct handling of fabrics, prevents mix-ups, and optimizes washing cycles, ultimately improving garment care, efficiency, and operational consistency in large-scale laundry facilities.

5. Stock Level Alerts

The system monitors laundry inventory and triggers alerts when stock levels drop below or exceed predefined thresholds. These automated notifications help maintain optimal inventory levels, prevent shortages or excess accumulation, and improve overall supply chain efficiency for laundry operations.
